Kilmeena GAA are saddened to learn of the passing of Paddy Keane, Ardkeen , Kilmeena. Paddy played for the club at underage. Following his move to London in the 1960's he played with Parnells GAA club for 3 years. On his return to Kilmeena in 1967 he took the role of team manager. In 1968, he managed the team to a historic West Mayo Championship victory, defeating Westport in the final and bringing the Cusack Cup to Kilmeena for the very first time. That memorable team went o

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Christy Ferris, Clogher, Fahy, Westport. Christy was an active and valued member of Kilmeena GAA from the early 1960s, playing his football with distinction right through to the early 1970s.
