The 2026 local league kicked off on Wednesday 9th September with 14 teams taking to the field. The highly competitive and enjoyable games carried on to night two. Despite the rain spirits were high. Each team gave it their all and efforts were rewarded with a visit from the ice cream van!

Well done to all who took part. It was great to see everyone showing off the skills they have been working on all year. Not only was there a great display of football on show but also of respect and sportsmanship. The future of Kilmeena football is in safe hands.

A massive thank you to all volunteers and coaches who ensured the smooth running of the local league and provided a memorable day for all of our young players.
