Minors win Division E Minor County Championship final

On Monday last Kilmeena Minor Boys overcame Achill in a game that was much tighter than the scoreline would suggest.

Achill started the stronger but two goals in the opening half left Kilmeena in front by five points at half time.

The opening exchanges of the second half were tight but some excellent finishing by the Kilmeena forwards kept the score keeper busy. The win was sealed by an excellent team goal close to the end.

This win was built on the foundation of an excellent defensive display by the Kilmeena rearguard.
