- County title for Kilmeena Minors
Kilmeena minors travelled to Claremorris today, Sunday the 14th October to play against Ballinrobe in the County League Division 3 Final. It was only after extra time that Kilmeena emerged victorious on a Final score line of Kilmeena 0-22 to Ballinrobe 3- 10. Image of match report from Austin Garvin of the Mayo News below. Hard luck to our minor girls who were defeated by Kiltimagh today in Ballyheane. We are so proud of each and everyone of our girls and to all our younger ladies who made themselves available for today's game. There will be better days for this wonderful group of footballers. - Kilmeena U-13's crowned Division 2, County League Champions
Congratulations to the Kilmeena U-13 boys’ team and Management who were crowned Division 2 County League Champions yesterday the 6th of October after a 5-08 to 1-09 win over Erris St. Pat’s. The game was played in Knockmore in ideal conditions for football with both teams putting on a great display of their football skills. Full match report to follow. - National Role for Daniel Kelly
Kilmeena GAA would like to congratulate our club under 13 player Daniel Kelly who was recently given the prestigious honour to Captain the FAI National Emerging Talent squad which played in the Actavo Cup on the weekend of the 14th -16th September last. This event was hosted by Cherry Orchard FC located in Ballyfermot, Dublin. Daniel’s team played against squads from non-other than Glasgow Celtic, Newcastle Utd, St Patrick’s Athletic and Swansea city. Liverpool, Aberdeen and host club Cherry Orchard also took part in this competition. Here are some photos from the weekend.

- U13 boys into County League 2 Final
Following a comprehensive win on Saturday at home over Ardnaree Sarsfields, Kilmeena qualified for the Div 2 County League Final against Erris St Pat's. This game will be played at Knockmore GAA pitch on this Saturday, 6th October, at 1pm. All support greatly appreciated !
- St Brendan's athletes do their school proud at the Mayo Cross Country Championships
On Thursday last, 27th September, a group of students represented St Brendan's School at the Mayo Cross Country Championships in Ballina. Jamie Durkan represented 3rd and 4th class boys; Katie Moran and Lisa Hastings represented 5th and 6th class girls; Luke Durkan, John Murphy, DJ Keane, Cormac O Malley, Michael Moran, Sean Moran and Adam Moran made up our 5th and 6th class boys team. Conditions on the day were good underfoot. The cource was challenging with one long undulating hill towards the end. There were some fantastic performances on the day against some tough opposition which resulted in huge improvments in the school's overall performance. We wish the athletes that have qualified for the Connaughts on 13th October the very best of luck
- Kilmeena U-12's in Croke Park
Well done to the Kilmeena U-12 boys and their coaches pictured below during the Littlewoods Ireland Connaught Provincial Days Go Games in Croke Park. This year over 6,000 boys and girls aged between six and eleven represented their clubs in a series of mini blitzes and – just like their heroes – got to play in Croke Park. - Kilmeena V Ballintubber U13 Boys League Div 2 2018-09-25
Kilmeena U-13's qualified for the Division 2 final this evening after a comprehensive victory in Ballintubber tonight. Kilmeena started very steadily and took some fine early points before putting away two quick goals to open up a good margin in the first quarter, before finishing the half with another scoring burst. The second half was more of the same with subs coming on and putting in some fine performances. In the end Kilmeena pulled away gradually as the game wore on, and the Ballintubber lads competed sportingly right to the end. Conal Gill was in fine form up front bagging 5 goals and he was well supported in attack by Conor Kelly, Jack O'Grady, Luke Durkan. In midfield Michael Regan had a storming game with Darragh Slattery putting in his usual box to box performance.
