The Bord na nÓg presentation event took place on Sunday, 1st December in the Mill Times Hotel. The event was well attended by all teams and parents. Guests for the event were Mayo senior footballer, Robbie Hennelly and Emma Needham, Mayo senior ladies footballer. I want to thank all the executive and team managers who worked so hard to help the event run smoothly on the day.

The Annual General Meeting of Kilmeena G.A.A. Club will take place in the Clubhouse Kilmeena, on Saturday the 23rd of November 2019 at 7:30 pm. Nominations and Motions for consideration must be with the Club Secretary on or before the end of October. It is expected that there will be a good attendance of all full members of the Club.The A.G.M is a really important event in our Clubs life so please make the effort to be there.

The U10s started back training on Thursday 28th March with the healthy number of 25 players. 

A new innovation, a skills booklet, was introduced at the end of the first training session. Congratulations to our out-of-this-world U10s who became the only team to win the Geraóid Murphy Memorial Cup 11-a-side blitz twice since it’s inception.

Our U8 girls entered a team in the Westport blitz on Saturday, August 24th, and played three games in total. They first met two Westport teams and both games were evenly contested. In the final game they had a win against Burrishoole. Both teams showing some great football skills. Well done girls. Thanks to Westport GAA for hosting the event and for a very enjoyable day.

Kilmeena 6 – 14  Carnacon 5- 11

The Kilmeena girls away game was against Carnacon on Wednesday evening the 10th of July. Playing conditions were good with a slight westerly wind.
