In the time that we are experiencing, this is probably the most opportune time to remind present players and parishioners, of the team that captured the coveted McDonnell Cup for the first time in the history of the Club, beating Carramore in the County Junior Final on a gloomy Sunday in McHale Park Castlebar.

The GAA has informed all clubs that their Player Injury Benefit Cover and Public Liability Insurance cover is suspended during the Covid-19 emergency.

Croke Park followed up by informing all clubs that their facilities must be shut as they are not covered by insurance.

In compliance with the Government announcement & subsequent joint media release from the GAA, Camogie Association and The Ladies Gaelic Football Association, Kilmeena GAA Club will from midnight, March 12th, 2020 suspend all games, training and gatherings in our club house, gym and pitches. The club grounds will be closed and out of bounds until March 29th, 2020.

The Bord na nÓg presentation event took place on Sunday, 1st December in the Mill Times Hotel. The event was well attended by all teams and parents. Guests for the event were Mayo senior footballer, Robbie Hennelly and Emma Needham, Mayo senior ladies footballer. The Annual General Meeting of Kilmeena G.A.A. Club will take place in the Clubhouse Kilmeena, on Saturday the 23rd of November 2019 at 7:30 pm. Nominations and Motions for consideration must be with the Club Secretary on or before the end of October. The U10s started back training on Thursday 28th March with the healthy number of 25 players. 

A new innovation, a skills booklet, was introduced at the end of the first training session. Congratulations to our out-of-this-world U10s who became the only team to win the Geraóid Murphy Memorial Cup 11-a-side blitz twice since it’s inception.
