The Kilmeena minor ladies played Tourmakeady in the Minor C Shield final on Sunday 28th August in The Connaught Centre of Excellence
Following a defeat to Tourmakeady in their previous encounter the Kilmeena ladies were in no mood for a repeat. They took the game by the scruff of the neck from the throw in and took an early lead which they never relinquished.
The ladies put on a display that any team would be proud of, excellent skills, support play and scoring. The future is looking good for Kilmeena LGFA.
A massive thanks to the U16 ladies who stepped up to play with the minors, this wouldn’t be possible without them.
