Kilmeena U14s bounced back from last week's disappointing display against Moy Davitts with a convincing win over Shrule Glencorrib in the second round of the Championship.
Kilmeena led at half time by 14 points but a chaotic final 10 minutes saw Shrule Glencorrib work their way back into the game. Kilmeena had done enough though and eventually won by nine points. Scenes that we do not want to see repeated after the final whistle left a bad taste in the mouth but on the positive side, there was much to be encouraged about with good football played for most of the game and this result sets up a crucial home encounter against Kiltimagh next Monday.
