Kilmeena V Ballycroy Junior Championship 2020-08-22

Kilmeena survives an intense battle against Ballycroy, to make it through to the quarter-finals of the County Junior Football Championship next weekend, opponents Achill. Match venue and time to be fixed at the County Board meeting tomorrow night (Monday), This game was a special occasion for the Club as this was the first live audio broadcast delivered worldwide, commentated on by in-house talent, Mickey Carney. He was ably assisted by a talented backroom production team of; Neil O'Donnell (Match Analysts), Robert Moran (Technical Administrator), Isla Hoe (Professional Technical Advisor) and Damian Hughes (Production Manager) and Martin McIntyre (Program Director). The commentator gave a rousing account to the world of events as they unfolded on the pitch! I know Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh celebrated his 90th birthday recently - well, we have a candidate to take his place! Well done Mickey, you have well and truly set the height of the "bar" with that sterling performance!
