Kilmeena GAA and Kilmeena LGFA are currently working towards being awarded a “Healthy Club” status.

Specifically, the Healthy Club Project is a GAA initiative aimed at encouraging clubs to contribute to the health and wellbeing of their members, and members of the wider community. To be successful in our quest we will be looking to implement a plan of action that offers our community a variety of opportunities to enhance our physical, social and emotional health. Already we are off to a great start with a number of initiatives either completed or underway. These include; - Mayo Day 10k your way - Irish Life Steps Challenge - Ladies exercise classes

However, there’s so much more we can do to keep up the momentum and make sure that all members of the community can benefit. We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions, and will circulate a questionnaire amongst members in due course. Please take the time to complete it.

A small group has been organised to get the project up and running, but it’s going to be a community effort to push us over the line to achieve “Healthy Club” status. So with this in mind let’s keep the club where it belongs - at the heart of our community 🖤🤍 #HealthyClub #20x20.ie
