Kilmeena under 21 team travelled to Charlestown for the B division quarter final. Kilmeena started well playing against the breeze and traded points for the first 15mins at 3 points each. Charlestown made the best of their chances after that and went in at the break 8 points to 5.
After the break kilmeena exerted some pressure and territory but did not get the return on the score board. Charlestown edged further ahead and it looked like it was not going to be Kilmeena's day when a goal was disallowed for being in the square! The final score was 15 points to 8.
We wish Charlestown all the best in the remainder of the competition and I believe a lot of our lads have earned a well deserved rest.
