Kilmeena and Burrishoole contested the West Mayo Minor B Championship Final yesterday evening, Friday the 20th July. This game was played in Islandeady in ideal weather conditions. The first half was a nip and tuck affair with both sides trading scores leaving the score at half time 1-06 to 1-08 in favor of Burrishoole. The second half started in the same vein where both sides traded scores leaving it 1-13 to 1-15 as the game entered the final quarter. However, this is as good as it got for Kilmeena. Burrishoole tagged on a few points followed by a vital goal to seal the victory. Well done to both sides for a good competitive game.
