St Joseph's GAA Club from Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, visit Kilmeena on Saturday the 26th May

Report by Darren Madden

Kilmeena Gaa hosted St Josephs GAA club from Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire at St Brendans Park on Saturday the 26th May. It was a wonderful day of sport and the weather was fantastic. There were games being played on three separate fields and there was great support from both clubs for the boys and girls. St Josephs travelled with 250 people including players. This was some achievement for a club to travel so strong with so many age groups, boys U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, U-17, girls U-12 and U-17.

Kilmeena Gaa did not let the side down and showed tremendous hospitality to our visitors. I would like to thank all that helped out on the day that helped make it such a success . We would also like to thank our travelling Refs and the order of Malta for their help.

These are great memorable days for our players and shows the true spirIt of Gaelic games. Well done to all involved.

Kilmeena Abu
