The U16 and U14 girls recently celebrated their footballing achievements in the Clubhouse after winning silverware in their respective age groups earlier this year. This gathering provided an opportunity for their managers to acknowledge and congratulate them on their fantastic performances throughout the year in their respective competitions.
One encouraging aspect was how the U14 girls stepped up to support the U16 team due to a shortage of players in that age group.
They blended seamlessly into the U16 squad, contributing to a significant victory over Kilmoremoy in the final, with a score of 7 - 08 to 4 - 04 in the U16 Division 5 League Cup.
Not to be outdone, the U14 girls distinguished themselves by defeating McHale Rovers 7 - 07 to 5 - 01 to win the Division 4 League Shield on June 9th of this year.
The future of ladies' football at the Club looks promising!
