LGFA - player injury notification on Foireann

A Chairde,
We are delighted to confirm that the new process for notifying Injury Fund claims on Foireann, will go live on 29th June 2026, to replace the current system of submitting a Preliminary Claim Form by email or post. This new process has been put in place to make it easier to submit claim notifications, improve tracking, and help ensure that all required information is captured accurately and efficiently.
What this means
From 29th June 2026, Injury Fund claim notifications may be submitted using Foireann (under the Player Actions tab). However, for an interim period, Preliminary Claim Forms will continue to be accepted.
Benefits of the new system
The new Injury Notifications process has been introduced to:
improve the accuracy and completeness of claim information submitted
improve visibility and tracking of claims
reduce delays caused by missing information
reduce workload on club and county secretaries

Ensure your Foireann profile and family is correctly set up on Foireann.
From the go-live date, Injury Fund claims should be notified by players (or parents/guardians) via the new system by logging into their Foireann account and following the steps in the support document:
