A superb performance saw Kilmeena U16s overcome Tourmakeady to reach the Division 4 League final. From the whistle, our boys tore into the opposition, competing for every ball and notching up some early scores. In what became was a titanic physical battle, Kilmeena won nearly every encounter against a determined opposition and led at half time by three points.
With some neat link-up play and impressive defending, Kilmeena saw out the match, winning by four points at the final whistle. Despite some scoreboard shenanigans which showed Tourmakeady winning by two points, our hard-working team were triumphant!
This evening’s result sets up a final next week against Louisburgh, who beat Burrishoole in the other semi-final.
Huge congratulations to all of the players and coaches.
