Knockmore 2-8 - 2-10 Kilmeena
Two late goals ensured that Kilmeena took the points in a thriller away to Knockmore this evening. Kilmeena went into the break at half time leading by two points but Knockmore came out the hungrier in the second half. With five minutes to go they were four points up before Evan O’Grady popped up with two brilliantly taken goals. Another great free from Darragh Slattery, who scored eight points in total, gave us a three point cushion. In the final two minutes, Knockmore threw the kitchen sink at the Kilmeena goal, scoring one more point before the ref blew the final whistle to the relief of the travelling supporters. It was a fantastic result for our boys who were missing some key men this evening.
